Intro

Summary Owl is a tool to transform lengthy content into structured summaries (repeated this a few times, its stuck now 😊). Its being developed as a micro-saas product to automate all the steps needed to go from a list of urls (resources) to summarized content in variety of formats using best of AI models for the task.

Why summarize content?

As part of my main business I need to drive the organic audience with useful content while staying on top of industry’s trends myself. Prior to using Summary Owl, I would spend hours to research, extract, and summarize content from publications and subreddits, package this into a newsletter and/or a blog article, and publish.

Here is what the process looked like before and after Summary Owl:

Features

The full features of the beta will be announced soon, but here is what’s expected:

The summarization framework has already been developed and is being used in multiple public sources (blogs, newsletters) for purposes of testing and refinement. The application itself is being developed with NextJS and is expected to ship soon enough.

About me

I’ve been building projects for over 20 years (middle aged fellow now). Had a few attempts in “build in public” space back in 2012, but alcohol and larger projects consumed me away from public. Following a successful exit automation product for pharma industry, I’ve started a few businesses with co-founders in the HR and recrutiment space which operate to this day, bringing me the freedom to build tools like Summary Owl.

I am fresh and happy now and would love to share the journey of building products solo.
